Thank you! I had a lot of fun making it, too :D. Maybe I'll find the time for making a "polished" version with opengl and "less hacked", more stable communication with the controller (always a little tricky if you don't know the correct specs).
I don't think a keyboard mode would be suitable, due to the speed and tempo variations that make the whole thing interesting. But maybe I can figure out a way to make it work with two mice. Don't know if the windows ddk allows that, it had to be pretty low level ;)

jco: look for "Raw Input" in the platform SDK or MSDN, that's the easiest way of handling two mice :)

Wickedest thing: 2 people were playing late on Sunday morning and they'd managed to get to the point where the paddles are 1 pixel wide, and they were still going for about 8 more 'pongs' - which was just great to listen to as well as watch (:
Yeah, very nice remake of pong. For the device used, not very impressed, here i can easily use my hercules dj control mp3 as a mouse or a joystick without coding anything.

how? it neither registers as a midi-controller, nor as a joystick. the only way of using it that i figured out was sniffing the usb-traffic, reading hexdumps, and playing around withit until it worked ;)
luckily they implemented a simple and transparent "coder friendly" protocol.
Whatever you did. Damn well done. I may be a heretic, but I'd like a Windows Port, which I can play with my mate. :(
