Excellent conversion of Wild Copper's rotative scroll, featuring a mod player and running at 50 fps.

cool stuf - i wonder if that would be possible on Amiga, too.

Well TMB, would be nice to know what you actually consider bad here. As it's actually a quite good conversion.

it's not even fullscreen

tmb: you are totally wrong of course, it's actually very good codewise since the mod player probably used something like half the cpu time (no Paula on Atari), which left very few clockcycles to convert the main effect that formerly had all the cpu time available on Amiga.

The Wild Copper Crew wrote a very nice demo featuring real time rotation of its fonts. They claimed only the Amiga could do this... so we had to prove them wrong!

Ajrarn coded most of the demo: the realtime rotation of the dots forming the font (and their realtime shadows) which what the Amiga did in software. On the ST the roll and colour changes were done in software, but the Amiga could use its Blitter and Copper for these functions. Ajrarn also did the graphics.

Alien (me) coded the realtime software 4 voice soundtrack player (MOD format). The Amiga could offload the playing of 4 digital voices at different frequencies and volumes to its hardware. On the ST, this was all done in software.

Pat (of Wild Copper on the Amiga if I recall correctly) made the soundtrack.
Great conversion.
