very nice intro

(the soundtrack remember me a little bit on the debris soundtrack :)
of course, full points from me ... i like it

i really can't get to see what's the problem with rendering but i surely can say that it was a bit messy and unclear. Anyways, the soundtrack is not as cool as quickyman02 said. Design is so demœ-classicæ, in other words cliché. Sorry but, I doubt it deserves a thumb up...

it dont work on my computer.. just a short square flashes then nothing happends

What's with the chunky graphics? It ruined everything and made it look like an ugly mid-90s Amiga demo.

Not my thing at all.

holy aliasing, batman!
there might very well be a good 64k under there somewhere. but it's almost impossible to work out what's going on when it appears to be rendered at approximately 200x100 and then post-processed to shit. combine that with the "colourscheme", dodgy camera movements and chippy music, and it just gives one big "wtf" experience.
it seems like you do have something to show, it just would be nice to actually be able to see it next time.

ok i don´t see any concept at all, some scene just look like bryce3d. don´t want to thumb it down since it looks like a lot of work, but it had to hit esc just way to early.
added on the 2007-06-04 17:12:36 by [ej] [ej]
Not sure if that deserves a thumb up or down, so pig. Good mix of a few good looking bits, a few bad looking bits, and a few bits that look like they might be good underneath all the processing.

I saw pre-release =)
Nice music. Great last scene... Rulez!

next time you invest so much effort doing content for a prod remember to also make it look anything remotely good looking. that includes non russian dutch colorscheme, not abusing randomly fucked-up blured as hell rendering modes, decent camera interpolations and framerates above 2fps.
good couple effects and end statue but the whole presentation is unwatchable.
sucks added on the 2007-06-04 18:49:01 by psenough psenough
For the love of God, please do something to your post-processing. And the colors.

Other than that, it might've been rather cool..

It was nice for watching. Original progressbar, but not so good.
rulez added on the 2007-06-04 19:44:43 by Pirx Pirx
I was shoked when f0x said LostSoul made that sculpture in final scene just from primitives. You should have know "plasticator" demosystem to understand how hard it was...
Well, I like some scenes a lot. But, in my opinion, nature scenes needs a different (background) music.
Anyway, thanks a lot to f0x & lost soul for contributing to the compo.

now polish, polish, and polish. and have coherent scenes ;)

I liked the precalc bar idea, music and also some of the effects were pretty cool.
Framerate was mostly ok on this fairly modest system; Ati X1650 P4 3.0ghz 1GB 533mhz ddr2
Only a couple of the scenes had some choppy frame rate.

Speak as you find, but I liked it.

ratings (10 scores scale):

music : 6 (you have to watch several fox's intros to understand that music is too "foxy")
technical sound quality : 8.5 (sounds good!)
concept : 4 (errr.... wtf...)
visual effects : 4 (errr... hurting colors)
technical visual quality : 9.5 (extremly high due to very non-standart outstanding pixel fucking render, i can't say what resolution it was but look significantly different then other's polished demos\intros)
perfomance : 9 (runs smoothly, nothing to say)

an obvious thing : fox needs a qualified 2d\3d artist, this way he can produce extremly KHOOL prod!

nice work anyway.... keep going

p.s. still remembering our bet!

Coder demo (intro!). The visuals are great, but too blury, and the intro is TOO FUCKING LONG! The music is also very cool... to sum up you can do a lot better! There are a lot of scenes. Some are cool, others not that much. And it runs great on my 3 years old laptop.

Visualy and colours are damn great!

I like it. Loved the sunset scene.
The scene switches are uninspired whereas the switch to the last scene (through the painting) is great.
The music is good but more variation is needed for my taste.
Also liked the gfx style. (except that crappy raft model).
And kudos for that loaderbar.^^ at first I thought the intro crashed my PC doing strange things on the windows screen ,when I realized its the loading (calculating) bar. :O)
I´d like to quote Shockwave: " Speak as you find, but I liked it." !

nice. I personally like the result of the rather generous post-processing. It certainly looks unique/abstract. Good release.

There are some nice scenes but many ugly ones as well. And it's very inconsistent. Music it nothing special but fits. Funny "loading bar". :) I see quite some potential here, waiting for your next 64k.

No, he already have. He needs just an instruments to work with camera and sync in his demosystem. There is even no keyframe animation yet.

need, need! creating intro/demo with one modeller/texture artist is so hard:(

great soundtrack and nice atmosphere, but some of the graphics are really ugly - however it´s still worth a thumb up

The thing I liked best was the loading bar in windowed mode, which is worrying :) Had a lot of good potential, but was ruined by the patchy quality, and lack of polish. I reckon if you get to this stage with the next one, then spend a week or two watching it, replacing the bits you notice are shit, and polishing it up where it could look better, you'll have a cracking intro. For now, the pig gets it.

hehe, i had the association with the debris soundtrack too because of the bassline :)

anyway, nice in the way that there's a lot of content, but most content looked horrible. the emboss-whatever-postfx and the jerky and cliché scenes made it in overal not interesting. i liked the bird scene tho :)
Nice 64kb-intro! Last scene - GREAT!!!!

What Smash said, but i liked the music :)
Crank the postfiltering down a bit next time.
Oh and doesn't really work on vista - black/white screens in the first 20 seconds or so, and then i hit escape.

Music and Models were amazing! As previously stated though, some of the effects were a little odd.
rulez added on the 2007-06-29 03:04:37 by Rubicante Rubicante
Cool shaders (or something) and very cool models, the postprocessing or resolution of the forest scenes are mostly fucked up, but it doesn't distract me in the other scenes so much. And the camera movements are also quite ok, though the totally stopping cameras at some point look quite ugly. The running green guy is amazing, though there also the motion blur is too blurry. I'm sure the problems of low res could be easily solved. So, good job guys! I'm sure you'll improve your intro work much in the near future.

A little bit boring direction, but some scenes are good. Especially the last one (with girl statue)!

I love this rendering. I liked the scarecrow scene, and sunset scene looked like Tsar Bomba :)
If statue's head would suddenly turn and face the camera in the last scene, I'd shit my pants.
