yeah, one of the first good PC "demos" in my opinion... great sound through your pcspeaker
cute :)
When I first saw this in 1993, and the xenon 2 theme started blaring out of the speakers, I fell from my chair laughing. Too bad they ripped the songs, but at the time it was quite something, I guess =)
oh my, it sucked :)
Impressive for it's time.
As PigPen said, all done in VGA text mode!
I even had it running under NT4 workstation :)

this one was cool! I remember that Xenon II music rip too! it was really awesome to hear digital sound coming out of this crappy pc speaker!
This was really f**king cool at the time :)
Hell.. something done with those sorts of tricks would be leet even by today's standards ;)
i still wonder how they put david whittakers musick inside that intro .. i mean, it sounded too perfect to be actually re-made for the pc-beeper. =)
lol
this is the ****ing best shit I've heard ever and most like forever. lol!!
to much at once, not so good =)
I have ran it in my XT :)
Fun under XP (need alt+enter) , hehe that speaker-tune is speedball no?
Smooth textmode demo!
Smooth textmode demo!
1-6 change tune ;\
YO!
recognized the speedball and xenon 2 soundtracks, but that didn't matter back then. great stuff i used to think, and i *think* i read all the scrollers too.. :)
shifter, xenon 2? that's speedball 2, iirc =)
Always run textros fullscreen.
I prefer Starport from Future Crew, but this one is still alot of fun.
dalezy: maybe speedball is in it too, but that's "megablast" I was referring to.
the quality is debatable, but as a piece of history it's worth considering. I didn't think much of it back then, especially as I saw it AFTER i saw second reality.
Boring and sounds horrible. No matter how Future Crew or early it is.
Well, probably it was really cool when it was released, but I saw this way too late. And already 1993, this was rather outdated, I'd say.
Very good visuals for it's time :-).
Under XP seems to run a bit slower, though...
(try an older PC or a DOS bootdisk).

no!
at all!
haha, Yo!
:)
Gosh, this being textmode is a big pill to swallow :) Rocks
yeap
Pioneer work
Rulz. (use it in DosBox for the true experience. It will output sound to your speakers though.)
Great pc speaker sounds.
After 17 years this intro rox hard. Pure classic.
O man, I've seen that in about '97. I was quite wondered who made such a crap :) But now I can say - full respect for making this textmode stuff! And even music sounds better... ;)
loved it
that one's supposed to be a real classic, eh?!
nice chip musics,
effects: ball sprite bouncing, YO! distorter, background tiles scroll, vu-meters, starfield

PC speaker plays... mod music?
Nice stuff!
Nice stuff!
Nice bleeps from the ol' pc honker :). This must have ruled on 1990-spec PCs.
Qute little intro by Future Crew.
nah, gathering glöps.
no matter what
this was NEVER cool
this was NEVER cool
Running this intro on a PC with no sound card rulez, i ran this intro in a library and everyone was like WOAH!
YO!
blip blop!
one of the first things ive ever seen
Love the PC Speaker music! xD
A cute little artifact (~26 KByte) from the humble beginnings of the IBM/PC scene.
Classic
jo.
one of the first demos for me, text mode had never been the same
Fantastic one!
nice
so so
For a PC and 1990 it is something really significant.
aesthetically a weak piggi, but technically - a strong thumb up - hard to believe that this is textmode !
forgotten thumb :) It was impressive for PC of those years.. (but ugly comparing to C64 cracktros)
