Is the point of the upcoming prod to make stuff in 2006 that looks like stuff made in 1993? (with the exception of the wasp that looked so much better in the NoooN demo)

ok.. my guess is that you found a fucking timemachine and went back to 93 where most of this SHIT belongs? or im a wrong.. because this kinda sucked.. please stop this oldskool shit and do something innovative for fuck sake. im so tired of groups trying to live up the name of groups that where big in the beginning of the 90's.
And really.. if you wanna do this oldskool shit anyway. do it RIGHT. do it on an amiga or some other lowend platoform where gourad and flatshading is acceptable.

The original effects from those various demos kicked ass back then, but this remake... is it a joke or what?

hahaha, somehow an X-men episode took over it's soundtrack, and I was kinda amazed that a demo has roars and action music. which was kinda great. it really was like the teaser of an action movie. but then I watched it again, and had to see that this is actually bad.

No, we are not doing a remake of old demos, thats done and kinda lame now. We held the first assembly party 15 years ago and now we are doing the teaser for the 15th anniversary... Now enjoy the assembly flashbacks.. ;)

I guess i need another clue again. But yes, i think i know the difference, i just think making prods like this one here is better use of time than the numerous joke prods. But yeah, i guess everyone can waste their skills to whatever they want.

Btw, my comments shouldn't be taken too seriously neither :) I'm just voting..

i like the gfx at the beginning, the music is kind of entertaining, but the textures are ugly. please add design and some better texs (color scheme or i dont know) in the final release. At least it looks a bit promishing compared to these bunch of craptro...

it brings back flashbacks from past. its a teaser, so the shortness is okayish. thank you rebels, for bringing back some old spirit into todays demoscene. thumb up!

Well... It runs fine under Wine. I guess that's something. But the idea of a flashback to older prods doesn't really work very well. The texturing is even worse that my stuff, and the selected contented doesn't seem like a well-rounded choice from the past 15 years.

In short, this leaves me flacid.

hmmm... yes it's not a 2006 looking demo but it looks better than most of them actually. I'd like to see that demo when it's finished.

I actually liked the concept, but I think the execution is rather weak. At least some of the 2D graphics are simply taken from assembly releases (I saw some from 2002 and 2003). The main part was too short and repetetive in my opinion. I liked the music. Piggy.

I have mixed feelings about this. Well, yes because of memories (you got me there), no because the scenes are short and purely done. There is not much to it. And is it a teaser for what?

Not sure how it'll turn out. But good luck. 2 things tho... there's a long pause after running the exe. How about blanking the screen or something so I know it's actually doing something? Also, music was extremely loud - you're not setting the mixer volume to max and deafening anyone with headphones on are you?
