More of the same, but still a very solid production, couple of really nicely placed syncs and the music is überawesome as usual though I would've expected a tad more of the bassline :)
Oh and it had prolly the best looking DOF effect i've seen in a demo so far :)
it rocked the party!
very stunning, but get rid of that noisefilter.. it gets cliché :P
\pp\PortalNewTechnology\src\base\RenderTarget.cpp:54 GL (FBO) error:

but I'll thumb it up because the DOF looked nice, and because the models kick ass.

Hm. KB says it runs at max. 10fps on his 6600, which I find weird since it ran min 15-20 on my R9700... Driver bottleneck?
ithaqua,
I get the same error with a GForce 4 After I updated the drivers.
Time to get me an ATI Radeon

Portal Process ! Need i say more ???
Works fine with the 81.85 drivers. I guess you developed it on a 256mb card cause I had to disable AA and the secondary monitor in order to run it properly, it seems to eat all videomem.
The DOF scenes look simply gorgeous and I love the distortfilter look. The models kick ass. I would only complain about the pace, I miss some more aggressiveness. Anyway, I'm a sucker for good industrial design so thumbs up.

not only are you guys rocking the big screen, but you are nice and decent people too.
The demo had some really cool effects. Good 3d art as usuall, and also the programming work, lighting techniques, glow, DOF, wicked shading indeed!
I'll try to see if I can raise my quality with the tips you gave me. Hope to see around at future demoparties! :)

good work guys, and runs fine on a GeForce FX 5900 XT.
btw after a 1st launch i can't launch it anymore. here is the error :

ok nm with lastest drivers =)
is it possible to make it compatible with ATi 9x00 line ? :>
Like i told you, i'm still amazingly tired of "robots.. that move a bit.. and don't have a function".. but the direction is cool, and the distortion is ace, so it will be a piggy, although i'd rather thumb it down just for never changing style :P
Zest: it runs without a hitch on a 9700 pro here...
cool other one! but i prefer the lastest (more animated things, better gfx), but the music still rocks :)
this prod is completely ace all the way. great music and direction combined with veeeery goodlooking pixelshader-action. it stands out a bit from your previous works - has a different look and feel, despite what some people might say.
although the robots seem to become standard procedure, I still feel resonance takes pp a leap forwards stylewise. beautiful.
wooaa!
A little short but looks nice. Thump up!
I wish I had some decent words to say about it, I don't today cuz I'm in recovery from not getting enough sleep (: But seriously, this kicks ass.
nice
i like robots..
modelling , direction and music.. all of them are very good.

LOVE
Great visuals but boring.
absolutely KICKASS!
looks cool, VERY SLOW, but looks cool :)
oh, FUCK YES!!!
<3
it's weird, I got the FBO extension missing, while my latest intro actually uses FBOs. ...
ah but that's framebuffer unsupported.. So I guess those drivers don't support some pixel/depth buffer format
Rocks hard on AMD 64bit 3800+ Radeon 9800XT XP SP2, latest drivers.
Übermood.

music,objects kick ass
while the 2d layers and the noisefx sucks ass
still quite cool.

:( doesnt work on my mobile gf6800 !
Premium: Update to 8x.xx drivers, then it'll work (they did some work at the FBO extension it seems)
Great visuals indeed. The music wasn't my taste, and the whole thing could be a wee bit faster, but what the heck. :)

Great visuals here, and while I really like dnb, I though the tune was a bit uninspired.
It works great on my Radeon 9700pro, but my notebook has a GF6800 as well and I can't update the drivers to 8x.xx because they're slower and bugged than the older ones I'm currently using D:

ARGH I HATE/LOVE YOU GUYS! Best robot-demo ever!
Nice.
can we expect a version for "thinner" gfx boards??
i recall liking this during the compo.
nice visuals and lug00ber sound stuff... great!
Very good looking demo, but i second Leia. Try to make something 'new'....
no go here (frame buffer error as others had). I have a quadro card, latest drivers for it are 77.56. Guess i'll have to wait for nvidia to fix it...
video version, please! (tried with radeon 9600, but the framerate, or the lack of it, sort of made it unwatchable :)
pro: pretty filters, great-looking models, pleasing colorscheme.
con: low framerate (PIV 2.8GHz, ATI X300), music not among lug00ber's greatest work.
All in all enjoyable and a good show!

top quality!
It's so beuatiful. Worked on decent framerate on my computer with no FSAA with Radeon 9500
We Are The Robots
it looked okay and a worthy winner. However the design of this design was not apealing for me.
added a video (thanks to whoever uploaded it to scene.org)
best in show for me at KG. Superslick rendering and high detail does it :) ... One tip for next time would perhaps be to add more robots..
not original, but good. i like the glow in the middle...
Love the robots.. the globe thing was pretty impressive. Nice filters, too. A keeper.
this is the dice, noob. roll some slime on those nuts.
The demo looked very nice, but it was a bit too repetitive and I didn't like the music too much. A pig it is.
Nice show on the first run, boring on the second. Didn't like the music, and this one didn't really show anything new or original. But still a weak thumb up for the modelling and nice overall look.
lovely colors, detail, filters and visuals.
the music was ok but nothing like in don't stop.

+ good music

+ ran okay with FSAA
- quite repeative
really liked the depth of field and the camera movement (although the visuals seemed a bit slow in the beginning)

Nice, but I really hate to have to watch the video version :P
I agree with many of the previous comments - DOF effect is ace, probably the best seen in a demo so far.
After installing latest drivers, it runs very good on my GF6800LE at 8xAA.

fuckin' cool.

beautiful.
is this using PRT or is it "just" the shadows & dof & glow and so on?

the font says it all: someone works on technical/industrial design here... anyway: top quality, fine tuned

truly amazing and awesome work, one of my favourites now :) more plz.

I couldn't get it to work:
I am having problems running your Resonance demo. I get this error: "\pp\PortalNewTechnology\src\Launcher\PortalLauncher.cpp:260 Extension not supported: EXT_framebuffer_object"
I am using an old ATI Radeon 9800 Pro All-In-Wonder (128 MB). :(

How about updating your drivers before a thumb down ??
I agree with Leia etc.
Well done, hats off for the work, but there's nothing in there, visual or music wise, that isn't 100% standard.

and who cares about that
Impressive models, filters, focal blur. But yes, there is nothing more than robot models in the last PP demos and I wouldn't watch it again. Thumbs up for the hard work though..
very professional but sometimes boring and repetitive
Great demo as always...
oh and fmod killing the scene :))) my dull intel d865perl board's 5.1 audio send the sign only to the front speaker when wave mapper used.
Why a demo use wavemapper rather than dsound (like BASS) ?????? :(((( I hate you fmod :)

That dof with these models and colors Greatly rulz. Also the music is happy.
nice

OK, I fianlly saw the demo on a NVIDIA 6800 card. Not bad. Still a pig rating from me. :)
very enjoyable watch. but please make more resolutions available.. i don't want my TFT to interpolate, so why aren't all resolutions made available which are supported by the respective hardware?
great prod nonetheless.
great prod nonetheless.
btw: ran like charm on a 6800GT + 8xFSAA
Smooth and silky, but I wished for something more.. track was my favourite
fluid here. nice modeling, and nice track :)
The ball opening with DOF was cool!
Nice effects and 3D models, but quite boring for me. Piggie!
Screen effect is cool and stylish, other is quite borring.
The modelling and animation made me poop my pants!
nothing new, but it looks nice. =)
Another masterpiece from PP.. How the hell can they keep quality stuff like this coming... Simply awesome...
Lather, rinse, repeat.
The ball and the scene after that were really pretty, but once you've seen the animation loop run twice or thrice, it borders on boring. Piggie.

I really liked the track and I can see the idea behind the effect the demo should have had on the audience but unfortunately the good modelling and rendering were not enough to distract from the basic rotating object in the middle-scheme
another definition for the word "cool".
For utter fudging slideshow on some parts and - uh - a bit too typical drum'n'bass-track (yeah, been listening a lot lately) I call it farm time. Oinkey.
leet
cool
not exactly my cup of tea - but wow.
yop
pp guys you rock the damn shit again and again and again and again and again!
industrial scanline goodness. average for a pp demo, good overall.
neat, proper use of dof scores extra points :)
a little dof can make a huge difference, don't it?
Nice industrial themed demo :)
it's... robotic !! (and i love it)
missing thumb ftw
dance it babez, for real !

Nice!
yeah
nice one.
very cool! kickass music!
Portal Process' demos are always pretty nice.
Portal Process' Masterpiece!
outstanding!
Fucking great!
Seal of aproval.
Oh, it blew up after some scenes, but pretty cool postprocessing !
Lots of nice 3D, but just too repetitive. Sorry, but I'm just getting of having to watch the same 3D scene unfold itself from 20 different angles. And yes, there's blur and yes, there's distortion and yes, it's an OK soundtrack - but that's just not enough. It felt like this demo was stuck in it's own track and wasn't allowed to move on and evolve - shame, really.
yes.
awesome shaderwork.
Einklang.net with robots
zoolez
Machines and dnb, almost can't go wrong here :).
What Nutman said.
What Chromag said.
sorry, this one needs more thumbs
Nice & veryvery atmospheric one!
Thumbs up, only up!
Thumbs up, only up!
Quite nice.
Music is great! The visuals have a bit too much distortions for me, but thumb up for an overall nice demo!
Also made a Youtube Rip for it..
