Not working here, even if I have collections of those d3d9_2x dlls. About the intro, I persume the teapot is a basic object in D3D/OpenGL/whatever, there were some functions which could instantly create cubes, spheres, torii and such stuff and they also put the teapot as a tribute to the API? Else, I can't think how this could fit in 256b. Still, thumbs up for the idea :)

yes it uses d3dx. but it features a complete 3d setup, so it sets material, enables light, sets transformation and projection matrices...
try it in 256 bytes, it is not easy - so it is more than just a call....
it needs windows xp sp2 and a clean directx installation. it did not work on some machines at the party but it did after reinstall d3dx.
if both scx255 and t-time does not work on your machine you have a different version of ntvdm or kernel32.dll. send me both files and i can make it work on your machine as well.

peci: why don't you make a generator for the intros? like, a little exe which detects the system settings and creates the 256b .com accordingly :)
