I own an xbox, if you knew me, youd know I know quite a bit about xbox coding/hacking. But indeed alot of thumb downers wouldnt.

No offense but a 3ds logo spinning is no hard shakes, in either asm or C, its quite easy to use any Direct3D model converter and call bloody premade routines for both the display of and transformation of any mesh... get over it.

and to ps: theres a difference between scene piracy and webwarez as dip called it.

i believe u mean wallpaper of the week; and my blogging site gets some million hits a year, which is pretty good for a personal ego site; but seriously who cares about my personal website. its got some useful stuff there, like a 16bit text archive, go check it out maybe and enlighten yourself as to what the scene is (or was atleast). i think it would be fair to critizie my website if i posted prods representing it on pouet, but i did not.

as far as soure code goes? umm howbout no. this isnt directx for dummies. im glad you had fun with the stolen copy of the XDK you downloaded though, shame you didnt check any of the more complicated examples it comes with.

forahobby: if you truly believe that loading a .3do and coding a starfield on a 3? years old platform is impressive - not to mention community sites needing ads to survive - you do deserve to be in the center of the trainwreck.
this is a demoscene site dude. i wouldnt underestimate its users if i were you, specially regarding console code...

im really not even taking sides on this discussion but its quite obvious this prod.php is gonna turn into a "piracy=cancer"feedfest. -_- i'd rather see it happen on a bbs thread.

i even have a modded xbox and i'm not gonna watch it! (not because i don't want to, mostly because IT'S TOO MUCH BLOODY WORK to get the damn thing to boot in the first place and i don't feel like going through all that trouble to watch this scene masterpiece that makes all other prods blush and hide behind the corner while giggling nervously, then pondering about the future of their lives)

Hm, I don't see how we profit at all.

We (Xbox-Hq) have not made one dollar from this site for selling warez or promoting piracy. Basically all the money accepted from donations goes directly into hosting the site. I just wished that I got lots of money from this, the truth is the only money I've actually made is from small $5 or $10 donations I get every now and then for the work I've done with Auto-Installer Deluxe.

Anyways, about this intro:

Yes it's not the biggest and greatest intro in the world, who cares? I for sure didn't when I released it with Auto-Installer Deluxe.

The reason why it was made was so Forahobby could gain some experience in Xbox progamming, which I though would be a good thing but obviously not by reading some of these posts. It's also very sad to see people laugh at the simplicity of it, all I can say is show me your stuff to prove you can do better.

In no way am I trying to say that we are the best in no way or fashion, because I'd rather let our community and website speak for themselves. And yes, when it comes to xbox coding Forhaobbby is still only a n00b. So, how about instead of having a go at him and being so nasty about all of this, why not actually help him learn some code or something? Back in my C64 days it was common for sceners to help out each other, but obviously PC and Console scenes are a lot more hateful against others, which is a shame. Please prove me wrong.

cool, so i know u:) // nah, PC scene being unfriendly is a myth, its just pretty much alive and thus careless

i was active on handheld console scenes for a long time, and i'm also an active pc demoscener, so i don't really see where the unfriendliness should come from. the unfriendliness is rather against this unspectacular product (we have stuff like that on xbox in the demoscene, so it needs more than some 3ds logos rotating to imperss people), and also against a site that seemed quite dubious to me and others.

My god, a 7MB .wav file, using the wma player that comes with the xdk isn't that hard :) Also, it doesn't seem to work when there is no controller hooked up on port 1. In the end all I got was a scroller that didn't run smooth, a starfield and a very choppy rotating logo. So please drop that attitude.

also; as far as i can recollect, code produced with illegally obtained copies of the XDK (which this most certainly is), is illegal to distribute under penelty of catapult or something, so even hosting this is a great way to get a C&D from Microsoft's ravenous lawyer team.
