Nice to see the comeback of the old legends. The demo is even nicer :) Hardcore code, CML 4ever!:)

i dont like recycled tunes or pressing space, and that new gfx mode reminds me of movieworld. but apart from that, really goodsie demo

I haven't watched it with music yet (Gotta home to run that em.. oops! :) but all the parts rules. I like that they are all oneframers, no matter if they had to be smaller in size for that reason. That was for me a very nice and unexpected comeback. (I thought Cruzer would code 256b intros jff but not a demo, I think he said that once :)

Great routines!! But next time add some gfx please and remove that space waiting.

Really a GREAT demo for sure...

I definitely like the FIRST and the 'FLUFFY' part MOST!!
Those really _rock_ hard. :-D

Cool routine and FX there indeed.
The other parts were a bit 'empty' and looked a bit 'fast code' like.
Although the first plasma part still was quite nice and the slammer's scrolltext brought back perfect good old memories!! :-))

Inserting the good old 'press space for next part' was also a really great idea! I would have disliked to see a 'trackmo' design with such few oldschool FX parts. Wouldn't have fit together then!

short: if those other 2(3) 'empty' parts would have been done in the same good old 'coding style', presenting 'records' and/or new routines and FX as it used to be in the 80's till beginning 90's it could have had become a _real killer_ production for today's c64 demo-mania.

But nevertheless...it's surely still a very nice piece of c64 demo making again since some time...

Keep it up guys...and hope to see lots more from CML also in future again then... :-)

This is how demos should be: well-coded, good-looking effects that run in one frame, and the demo watcher decides when to skip to the next part.

Great. Staying in one frame whatever the impact it has on the size of the effect is an enjoyable thing. I just regret the press space to skip to next part 'coz you're never sure to have seen all the variants of the current effect.

just thumbing this up in order not to break the tradition :) - and it's probably good.

A true comeback(of the century..)!!
Although it looks like it is put together in a hurry, it still contains whats most important for a demo: Impressive effects!!
Especially the Amiga-like plasma and the fast glenz kicks!!!

Thank you for surprising us with this demo!!

Nice to see some new variations of the effects. But I would have preferred better graphis, some worthwhile design and original NEW music. Newskool it is most definitely not.
added on the 2004-02-25 19:44:55 by Dane Dane
impressive effects quality. but i don't see point of making it "press space" type. why not relaese it as 5 one file demos then. could have been a lot more impressive if it was a trackmo
rulez added on the 2004-03-10 10:27:59 by nightlord nightlord
There's too much slave work involved in making trackmos. All I care about is the fx. If I should ever make a trackmo I would need a coder slave to do all the boring stuff. Any volunteers? :)
added on the 2004-03-26 03:59:08 by cruzer cruzer
Yeah, trackmo is really teh shit! =)
After my 4kb scrolltro I am planning, I was thinking that my second demo on C64 should be of this style because trackmo is not so easy ;)

Cool parts here. Impressive code (even though I don't like the glenz part that much). And nice tunes as well. Plus, what Preacher said. :)
