this one impressed the audience with the first keyframed "human" in 64k. not that fun but a milestone.

Just a funny idea. Nice music..
Did you knew that there is a conversion of this demo for Spectrum?
I had found it here: (Hope it still works..)

Umm, I don't think this intro got 1st at assembly. Take a look at some results files :).
Very amusing and original intro.

i was impressed by the animation, the way the guy moves keeps you in a feeling he was motion-captured :-) ... :-| ... :-. ... :-O ... :-c
It's phyn to vote for these thingies ;)
crs. he was motion-captured (by hand)
they filmed some movement and then keyframed frame by frame.
sick, eh? :)

I like it... but it's really different of most Coma releases...
exocet, well it's one of the few coma releases where other people than virne were involved, too. :) praise mcgurk!
Rocks!
How about sum Prodigy?
hehe
This was fun to watch and the tune is really addictive :)
Back then I couldn't admit this one was good because it was made for (ick) PC.. But what the hell. It's fun :)
I like it. It's funny. :) as far as i remember the music is really addictive... ;] but i don't really remember. i haven't seen it in the last 6 years. :P
Awesome - the concept was so simple, but everything in it just worked out perfectly!

this was one of my favourite intros! like fruity or Poison!.
one of my friends showed me back in when it was released. i liked it then and i like this now :D
rules! :)
much fun
really original motion capture by coma?! what a load of bullshit!
"overmind" by slight on atari xe has exactly the same anim, and was released a week before this prod:

Hmm, I saw the Coma boys doing the keyframes with my own eyes.. Don't know how the Slight people managed to release theirs a week before?
Nobody on PC even knew about an atari8bit-scene back in 1995, so I guess it's the atari-guys ripping off the bigger scenes once again ;)
Yeah, I also witnessed COMA working on this first hand.. So better not spread too much bullshit, ok?
8bit atari still sucks!
(oh, and this prod rules)

^^ group psychology in motion
havoc: The reasoning for you coming to the conclusion that QuaST 95 was held before Assembly 95 was highly speculative to say the least. Maybe you were wrong?
The easiest way to solve this mystery would probably be to email Jaskier + someone from Coma and ask but where's the fun in that...

tribe, or maybe i am right? let's assume quast was a week *after* assembly. do you think slight would've managed to do a conversion of coma's prod on atari8 in a week? ...right. so maybe they both ripped off another source..? :-)
yes i think. its ripped from coma. and talk about group psychology mr "c-rem didnt rip anything" havoc
unssi, maybe you could quote me on that? no...? right.

starbuck: i see one logo that says tscc, one logo that says rebels, and a lot of assumptions from what appear to be third parties. that's all fine and dandy with me, and i'm wondering what's going on too ofcourse... but let's not jump to conclusions before anyone claims to have been original. :)
<--- lol
but lets just forgot it .. i dont care who did what ;)
unssi, can you read at all? where in that quote am i saying it was not a rip?...
classic!
I always liked this intro, it was original back then. I remember it started a trend in Hungary (in the lamerdemo section), and a legend was born: the group called Firg :))))
Nice hint. So hence that thingy.
This's crazy.
Shame it doesn't run on DosBox. Still I like the Atari version better.
oh that was great. in some sense :)
Very refreshing compared to the other prods at the party.
yeeh! My favorite 64k-dos intro
Another one I remember finding on a PC Format CD. Funky stuff. Shame it still doesn't want to work on DosBox though :-/
Definately classic! :)
quite funny back in the dayz
i confirm it doesnt works on dosbox (expect the funky music). I'd really like to see this ? anyone have a video ?
I made a YouTube video of this one.
:)
classic
Didn't like it back in the day. Seems a bit better after these 17 years but it's still a cheap crowdpleaser.
Sweet animation!

The music and the title cards work and it runs through, but the animated scenes don't show up. I guess they use a different video mode for those. I tried a couple of different memory and video setups and also univbe, alas to no avail.
Works in PCem! You may need to run ultrinit.exe first to hear music.
Haha, awesome! :D
full awesome :)

This is a bit late, lol, over 10 years have passed since this comment, but just in case anyone was still wondering, in the Atari prod they credited the PC prod. Now we have YouTube and it's easier to prove. Here's the proof: https://youtu.be/qfY-ld-I60M?t=1214
I remember when this came out, and silly as it may look now, it looked awesome and was a real breakthrough back then (motion capture without motion capture hardware).
fastastic!
Enjoy the cover version of this tune.
Forgotten thumb. Awesome tune! The music compo entry "Opetusta kerrakseen" was even better. OPETUST3.MOD. Underrated scene gem!
:flushed:
