The only thin experimantal is that code..
it features very hot effects like vector cubes and if he has like 2 on the screen my xp3000+ with GF-FX starts stuttering..
I guess they must be very happy to have safri duo as members...

If I’m completely truthful I found this quite appealing.

I like fast-paced demos and I particularly like the way this one bombards my eyes and ears and doesn’t let up until the end. I also liked the fact that the background and the foreground visuals are synchronized to different beats within the track, which is something I don’t recall seeing before.

I'm sure the technical and graphical simplicity is obvious to everyone so I won't point it out. But this is definitely a step forward so here's my thumb for encouragment.

I put it under the evoke cos that's where we meant to release it before we found out we could not release it over email. I've seen lots of other demos released under party names even tho they missed the deadline or got disqualified etc but I don't see complaints there. But people just love finding something to moan at us about.

Thanks to everyone who gave unprejudiced comments on this even if you didn't like it. I can learn from someone saying "could be improved by doing this....." but when someone tells me to "fuck off", then I think its them who have the problem not me and I think they will say the same thing whatever we release.

Ultimate/or/shane: Maybe you just need to learn how to use these demo-giving sorry making tools a bit better? this looked a lot like something from videotracker on the amiga. is that more constructive for you?

I`m in support of having this deleted from here. Along with all the Fearmoths stuff actually. Pretending to release at parties along with the fake party reports is pretty sad. Shane will just keep doing this if we continue to let him....

Jesus, talk about every one over reacting. God don't cry please. There are a LOT worse demos than this on Pouet but how can it help anyone to delete them all and how the hell does this demo hurt anyone???

We credited the right people, we haven't hurt your system, we haven't faked anything or put over offensive views so why all the whining?

It has Evoke on the pouet and even for people who can't read the info where the hell is the problem anyway? It's not like we are getting advertising revenues or using anything we don't credit. I mean jesus, the Evoke is just a party where sceners release demos not a god damn corporate logo or anything!

Its ok when talented people say this is shit or run down demopaja but theres so many lamers here who cant do any better! Or they dont even try. They just sit around moaning about other peoples demos and thats all the ever do for the scene.

At least we TRY to do something sometimes and we TRY to come up with fresh ideas. But I think you just want someone to slate cos it makes you feel elite.

oh and for everyone who thinks Ultimate Gas just throwed this together you are wrong! Thiis demo is designed on old moroccan pagan meditation techniques and plato's REM meditations. But you aren't smart enough to get that! You just see something and judge it without thinking!

Yes like Shane said it is designed on a mixture of meditation techniques. There are some rituals where light patterns and symbols are flickered onto a persons eye lids to cause waking REM – and hallucinations and stuff. This is based on a thing Plato did by looking at the sun and flicking his hands in front of his eyes. You can look this up if you think I’m talking shit.

The pagan meditation is about the beats and is used also by tribes to synch the rhythm of the body and mind and after listening to it for a long time the practicioners learn the beat and can mentally slow it down to cause their mind and body to have its own perception of time so that they can react quicker in “real time”. It’s like the bullet time in the Matrix if you want a simple example.

The idea of the simple objects in the foreground is supposed to play with the focus of the ears and eyes. Wade said he noticed the background and foreground was synched to different beats, well we did this on purpose because if you focus on one part of the beat your mind focuses on the pattern that is synched with it but if you follow another one your focus is supposed to switch to the part synched with that like the simple vector objects. So it is supposed to crate harmony between your hearing and sight.

I wanted to include some positive subliminal messages in this also but the pace was all wrong because the messages have to be timed right so they sink into the brain so we left it out.

I don’t blame everyone for not knowing this is what we meant because I didn’t explain it and people think we are only about joke demos and do nothing serious so we can only blame ourselves for that. I was going to write an explanation about this in the info file but I am still not sure if the demo works anything like it was meant to……that’s why I said this demo was EXPERIMENTAL.

I never wanted to cause any problems by releasing this demo and it is sad because when we try something serious it causes so much trouble. I just wanted to try and explain things maturely.

Well, I quite enjoyed it too. Reminded me a lot of friday at 8 by polka brothers, which is definately a good thing. Needs a fair amount of work to make it great tho.... better objects would help, perhaps a bit more variety too. Also the sync could have been way better.
